Nokia General
Nokia and Microsoft = Fear ?
I’m afraid I’m going to loss my favorite feature of Symbian ( I think you have it in Android too ), its Drag & drop when connecting USB and transfer whatever I want (images/music/videos/etc) in/out of the phone.
Another thing I hope not to loss is the wrist strap place, hope Nokia will keep them on, like they did for many years, I mean, Will Microsoft have any input in the device’s design as well??.
How about freedom of choice, things to do… like tethering?, Will Nokia keep up with devices that have all 3G frequencies?(Like all Symbian3 devices up to date), will Nokia now be chained to carriers like all the other phones out there?,
Please Nokia, don’t go “all the way” with windows phones.. give your input too !!.
…And keep giving us the freedom of choice!!.
Recycle old phone in Canada
Hmm.. do you ave an old phone you just want to get rid off and do a good thing for the environment at the same time ?, why don’t you just recycle it!
Check out what Nokia is saying about that
Prop off points, search…
Good luck.
Nokia & Microsoft…
I really don’t know what to think….
The one thing I like about Nokia is that they were “on their own”, meaning they were not obligated to a search engine, application Etc.. they had their own system, which I liked, I do not use any of Google services(except for maps of desktop), Microsoft services(except for Hotmail) and definitely none of Apple‘s services.
So.. now I’m left wit nothing…
Shame.

Low Light, Zoom And Amazing Colors Of The Nokia N8
So…. Like I said before and like most of you heard before, the Camera of the Nokia N8 is amazing, here are some examples in different scenarios:
- Low Light
- Zoom
- Color range
I love the colors that are coming out of the M&Ms World store, WooHoo… amazing
Nokia, Thank you for making it impossible !!!
Hello all.
I got a short amazing story…
I want to get the new Nokia n8, if you read this blog you know it by now.
I, being in Canada can not order one via the Nokia online store. The Canada Nokia website has.. well.. nothing there, only what the cellphone providers have, which for me, means nothing!, I can’t call any Nokia stores in the USA and place an order cause there are none, both(NYC, Boston) got closed.
I asked a dear friend of mine to place the order for me, since she lives in the USA and I asked her to ship it via the website to a different address, close to Seattle to a another friend so I could easily ride down there from Vancouver and get it.
That was last week and two days ago, she got an email from Nokia store that the order has been canceled!, no reason why, just did.
“Weird”.. I thought… okay, have no fear, I have a friend who works with me, she still has her USA visa card and an American billing address, she was kind enough to help out (thnX K’).
I was sitting with K’ yesterday in her office while she is making the order for a brand new Nokia N8 for me .. woohoo… I feel it in my hand already… wait, “unknown error has occurred”.. hmm… weird, we tried two more times and got the same error in the online store, I told K’ “thnX, lets just try again tomorrow”.
This morning, I came by K’ office and she tells me “I’m with Nokia on the phone already, on waiting for 20min’, my card was preApproved 3 times !!”…
Yes, the order did go through, however we got an error, we kept on waiting with customers service and when she answered K’ got the answer she wanted “your card will not be processed, and defiantly not 3 times”, we asked to talk to sales, kept on waiting for a long time, after talking to sales we understood the error, well, not really.
apparently, the shipping address I gave K’ and my precious friend to ship the N8 too was “invalid” as Nokia is concerned (although its a USA shipping address), have no idea why, not only that, I can not use this address or any other info I gave (like credit card number, names, billing address Etc’…) for another 5 business days!, it needs to be cleared from Nokia online sales system so they claim, what the..%$^# ?!?.
I get the feeling I will not have the N8 in my hand anytime soon after all.
Nokia, Thank you for creating a great phone with high demand (45min’ waiting time on phone, I hope its all cause of the N8) and thank you for making it imposable to get in Canada!, I’ll give up for now, what a shame!, I thought you wanted to sell phones… trust me I asked a lot of people to help out in getting it…wow, who knew it will be that hard.
P.S
I love Nokia, truly am, but this is just annoying, VERY !.
Goodbye loved ones…
In the past week I sold my N900 and my E75.
Lately I found out that although I have always had high-end devices I, with time, did less and less with them.
I got from Wind mobile the X5230 and for now, I’m happy with a low-end touch screen with no Wi-Fi and bad camera, still all the things I love about a Nokia device are still here.
Drag&drop, great audio quality in media player and calls, Ovi sync and more.
Till The next phone (N8)… I’ll enjoy this one
Goodbye my lovely N900 and E75, may the new owners will treat ya with respect, like I did
Nokia World 2010 Highlights – Sept 14-15, 2010
We had Nokia world not long ago, here are the highlights
Hello Nokia, this is Canada!
Hi there dear Nokia.
We, the people of Canada would LOVE to see the N8 on the Nokia.ca website, really, ordering it from the USA and pick it up there, some where from some one we barely know is kind of a stretch for us (well, at least for me)
Thank You(!!!)
I hope Nokia.ca will be improved soon, can’t find anything there, just what on sale with the cellphone providers…
Another E75 update :)
