WOW… Rogers are just weird, a few years back Rogers opened “Fido” that should have been their cheep cellphone provider.
Today, Rogers opened Chatr, a new cheep wannabe solution, the answer to Wind mobile.
Sorry Rogers, too little wwaaaayyyyyy too late, the Chatr plans don’t look that appealing to me.
My god Rogers, what have you done ?!?
July 28th, 2010The branding… I hate it!
July 27th, 2010Hi,
As you know (or not), I got an N97mini from WOMWorld during the #N97minitour across Canada.
I wanted to update the firmware of it since it was still on the old V11.2.102 but looki here, since its a branded Rogers phone(different product code than unlocked phone), no update…
No wonder people don’t like Nokia so much, apparently, if there are no update, phones are staying with bugs… god damn it.
And we back to “why only the iPhone is being sold as is?” no branding, no OS changed to cellphone providers… its weird, wake up Rogers, get the update and approve it!, our Rogers Nokia’s product code are waiting….
Of course, you can do this too, but I’m lazy so not today

July 23rd, 2010Hello all.
I have great news, I opened the NokiaLove.com forum.
I decided to take more things to do by myself and that is what came out.

Some night time videos tests.
July 22nd, 2010Hello.
Last night there was the opening of Vancouver’s celebration of lights with team USA.
I took this chance to test (yet again) the N900 and N97mini in night conditions.
In both cases, “night mode” looks really bad but that’s cause it should be used with no moving objects, I think :/.
Anyways, here are the results.
Wind mobile are doing it…
July 20th, 2010Hello all.
Last month, I switched from Rogers to Wind Mobile.
I got my 1st’ full month bill 5 days ago and just wanted to let you know that the low prices of Wind (1, 2) are starting to show up.
I use to pay at least 90$CAN-130$CAN through Rogers and now, It looks like I’m dropping under the 90$CAN mark, that’s nice !
Funny for the weekend :)
July 16th, 2010Nokia BH-214… a pleasure…
July 15th, 2010What a pleasure, really…..
Blue tooth headset with great audio quality and battery life (I left it open for 4 hours, that was good enough for me).
Its easy to use and easy to pair with your device… meet the Nokia BH-214!.
The headset the Nokia provides in the package(Nokia HS-44) is great, feels natural and easy inside the ear and the sounds from the “outside” are pretty much blocked and you can enjoy your music.
Voice commands works well as well, the location of the microphone (next to the led indicator) is a great place and got all my commands well and while in a phone call it preformed very well.
The audio on the N97minin is great, with this blue tooth device its even better, me like and recommend
Here is a video where I show how easy it is to pair this headset to your device.

Audio on the N97mini
July 9th, 2010Hi, today I got to test a bit the audio on the N97mini, Just like I expected on a nSeries device, it was awesome experience, With the provided Nokia WH-701 headset&remote it was easy to use and sound quality was very good (for mt at least)
With the desktop widget its easy to control the music player and have a a nice boomBox device on your desk once you are awake in the morning
Something I really like about the N97mini
July 9th, 2010Hi all.
Today while being a part of the Nokia #N97minitour, we did a small hike at the Banff area, of course, I started my Nokia sport tracker and started walking.
We walked not that fast and tried to look around and find as many nice things to see as possible, we saw a snake and had some great views, even some of us dipped their legs in the lake (heard it was cold).
What I liked most about it was the fact that after almost 2 hours of walk with GPS on, lots of pictures and some videos taken, my battery bars showed full charge, I loved it, not to worry about battery life is a nice thing
.
Here are some of the pictures that were taken:
